Hey guys! I am going to the Scarborough, TX faire for the first time on opening day!!! I'm driving in from Chicago!
I was wondering if anyone had links to some pics from this faire so I can check out the garb? I'm not too sure how Tudor everyone really is... maybe some opinions, reviews on the faire, so I can get an idea of it? Anyhing would make me happy. :-)

Re: Scarborough Faire question?
Tue, April 5, 2005 - 11:09 AMFor what it's worth, and bear in mind this information is second hand, and from over ten years ago:
'Nachos Of Nottingham'
Fajita Booth conveniently located next to the Dacquiri Booth
I'm not thinking you're going to be getting much in the way of an authentic Elizabethan experience, but it's huge, and incredibly popular.... :)

Tue, April 5, 2005 - 11:50 AMTry the website.

It might have some useful photos. Most Faires have links to photo pages, or will list what is required garb for the actors on the info pages. -

Tue, April 5, 2005 - 2:57 PMLooks like they have at least some photos from an Annual Photo Contest, 1999-2004:

Looks pretty good, certainly better than a lot, with the average number of slips out of Historical Accuracy.
Looks like it'll be a good road trip... :) -

Re: Scarborough Faire question?
Tue, May 3, 2005 - 10:08 AMI did have fun, thanks! But it wasn't what I expected. The grounds were gorgeous, and the place is huge, but this was the most historically inaccurate Faire I have ever seen! I was apalled.
The time is supposed to be 1528-1530. There were people dressed as pirates and Three Musketeers!!!!!!
I saw ONE other Tudor style gown besides my sister and I.
I'll be happy to go back to Bristol this year. At least they pay attention to what the time setting is.
The rest of the trip was fab!
But as disappointed as I was, I bought a lot of fun things, I can't get at home. I'll be happy to go back - at least for the shopping.
